Ladybugs are now available on our shop 🐞
Adalia bipunctata is a native ladybug species widespread throughout Europe and well adapted to our climate.
It is used as a localised biological control agent against aphids that attack trees, shrubs and plants. An adult ladybug can feed on up to 100 aphids per day!
In the new MAXI format, you will find 15 ladybugs of the species Adalia bipunctata with enough food sufficient for the journey and for a couple of days of stay in their “little house”.
Instructions:
Release 5-10 ladybugs per plant depending on size. From the receipt, it is possible to observe the ladybugs into the little petri dish for 2-3 days before the release. It won’t be unusual to see little yellow eggs on the paper strips. In this case wait for the hatching and then release the larvae.
For 2 weeks before and after the placement of the ladybugs do not use any insecticide and/or pesticide.
