Inside the box you’ll find all the necessary (feed, breeding containers and instructions) to make the caterpillars completing their transformation into butterflies.

Once they have emerged from the pupae, you can set them free in nature to continue their life cycle: it will be a unique emotion to see them fly for the first time.

ButterflyKit is an excellent gift idea for the nature lovers of all ages. Due to a certain level of intrinsic physiological mortality, it may occur that, during the experience, some caterpillar does not complete its metamorphosis.

In nature, the achievement of the adult butterfly stage is granted approximately to 1 caterpillar out of 50. With ButterflyKit we can assume with a good confidence that, following our instructions, at least 3 caterpillars will be able to complete the metamorphosis.

The average length of the experience is approximately of 20-25 days. The Kits must be activated within 2-3 days from the receipt.

The Large White butterfly has not to be confused with the similar, but more common, Small White butterfly (Pieris rapae).
